Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 13 July 2026
These Terms govern your use of the MeraChannel mobile app and the merachannel.com website (together, the Platform). MeraChannel is operated by Locus Web Services Private Limited (CIN U72200TG2010PTC071197), a company registered in India with its office at #202, Kamala Aurum, Plot 9, Road No 70, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad – 500110 (“MeraChannel”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Who may use MeraChannel
To use MeraChannel you must:
- be at least 18 years old;
- be capable of entering into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872; and
- not be barred from using the Platform under any applicable law, or previously removed by us.
We may ask you to confirm your age or identity at any time. Accounts we reasonably believe belong to a minor will be closed.
2. Your account
You sign up with your mobile number, verified by a one-time password (OTP). You are responsible for keeping access to that number and for all activity on your account. Tell us immediately at supportmerachannel.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
MeraChannel is deliberately near-anonymous. Other users only ever see your first name and your subscriber level. Your phone number is never shown to another user. There are no direct messages and no user-to-user follows. Do not attempt to unmask, contact, or identify other users off-platform.
One person, one account. Do not sell, rent, or transfer your account, and do not impersonate any person, brand, or creator.
3. What the Platform does
- Channels — creators publish posts to a paid channel. Fans get access by subscribing with coins.
- Stories — short, free posts that expire 24 hours after they are published.
- Hearts — a personal invite link (merachannel.com/u/your-username) that you can share. Anyone who opens it, account or no account, can send you anonymous hearts and join MeraChannel through it.
Sharing your Hearts link makes a public page showing your first name, profile picture, and heart total visible to anyone who has the link. Only share it as widely as you are comfortable with. Hearts are anonymous: you will never be told who sent them, and we will not tell anyone that you sent one.
We may add, change, or withdraw features at any time. We may also limit or discontinue the Platform in whole or in part, though we will try to give reasonable notice where a change materially affects paid access.
4. Coins
Coins are the in-app unit used to subscribe to channels. Coins are a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to access content on the Platform. They are not money, not a deposit, not a stored-value instrument, and not a prepaid payment instrument. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be transferred to another user.
- Coins are credited to your wallet each month by your active coin plan.
- Coins never expire while your account is open.
- Coins are non-refundable. See our Refund Policy.
- Coins are forfeited if your account is closed by you, or terminated by us for breach of these Terms.
5. Coin plans, the ₹65 trial, and UPI Autopay
You buy coins through a monthly UPI Autopay plan. The current plans are:
| Plan | Coins credited each month |
|---|---|
| ₹299 / month | 1 coin |
| ₹499 / month | 5 coins |
| ₹999 / month | 10 coins |
How the trial works. When you authorise the UPI Autopay mandate we charge ₹65 for a 1-day trial and credit your coins immediately. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the full plan amount is charged and your monthly cycle starts from that first full charge. The mandate’s maximum amount is the plan price (₹299 / ₹499 / ₹999) — we can never debit more than that in a cycle.
Cancelling. You can cancel the plan at any time from the app or by revoking the mandate in your UPI app. Cancellation stops future charges. It does not refund charges already made, and coins already credited stay in your wallet.
Failed charges. If a renewal fails (insufficient funds, an expired or revoked mandate, a bank outage), coins are not credited for that cycle and your channel subscriptions may enter grace and then suspend, as described below. Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise, and we may change plan pricing on notice — a change never applies to a cycle you have already been charged for.
6. Channel subscriptions
- Subscribing to a channel costs 1 coin per month.
- A channel subscription auto-renews monthly from your coin wallet, on the anniversary of your own coin spend for that channel.
- If a renewal falls due and your wallet is empty, the channel enters a short grace period (currently 3 days) with access intact. Coins arriving during grace renew it immediately. If none arrive, the channel is suspended and access stops.
- Cancelling a channel keeps access until the end of the period you have paid for, then ends it.
- Your level reflects months subscribed and only ever increases.
Creators control what they post. We do not guarantee any minimum volume, frequency, or type of content on any channel, and a creator may stop posting or close their channel at any time. Spending a coin buys access for the month — not a promise of any particular content.
7. Referral rewards
If someone joins MeraChannel through your Hearts invite link and activates a free trial, you earn a referral reward of 1 coin, credited to your wallet. Referral rewards are subject to the following:
- They are coins, not cash. They have no monetary value and cannot be withdrawn or exchanged for money.
- We must be able to attribute the install to your link. If attribution fails — because the app was installed another way, or the referrer data was not available — no reward is credited.
- No self-referrals, and no referring accounts you control. We withhold or reverse rewards from fake accounts, bots, incentivised installs, spam, or any other manipulation, and may suspend the account.
- We may change, cap, or withdraw the referral programme at any time. A change never removes rewards already validly credited to your wallet.
8. Creators
If you run a channel, you additionally agree that:
- You own or have the rights to everything you post, including music, images, and video, and to the likeness of anyone appearing in it.
- Your content follows our Content Policy. Breaching it can cost you your channel and any unpaid earnings tied to the breach.
- You earn ₹40 per paying subscriber per month. Earnings are calculated on subscriptions that were actually paid for with a coin, and are paid out to your verified bank account, normally on Fridays, subject to a minimum payout threshold and to fraud and refund checks.
- You are responsible for your own taxes. We may withhold TDS or other taxes where the law requires it, and may ask for PAN, GST, or other details before paying you.
- You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for formatting, and display your content on the Platform, and to use excerpts to promote MeraChannel. You keep ownership of your content. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies retained in backups or where we must keep it by law.
- We may withhold or claw back earnings we reasonably believe come from fraud, self-subscription, bought subscribers, bots, or breach of these Terms.
9. Things you must not do
- Break the law, or use the Platform to facilitate anything illegal.
- Post anything our Content Policy prohibits.
- Try to identify, unmask, dox, or contact other users off-platform.
- Scrape, crawl, mirror, or bulk-download content, or re-publish paid channel content anywhere.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the Platform; probe or attack our infrastructure; or bypass rate limits, paywalls, or security controls.
- Use bots, emulators, or automation to create accounts, inflate engagement, or manufacture subscribers.
- Commit payment fraud, use someone else’s payment instrument, or abuse chargebacks.
- Upload malware, or anything designed to harm the Platform or its users.
10. Our intellectual property
The MeraChannel name, logo, app, design, and software belong to us and are protected by law. These Terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. Nothing here transfers any ownership to you.
11. Third parties
Payments are processed by Cashfree Payments and executed by your UPI app and bank. The app is distributed through Google Play. These services have their own terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions. We do not receive or store your full card or UPI credentials.
12. Suspension, termination, and deleting your account
We may suspend or terminate your account, remove content, or withhold creator earnings if you breach these Terms or the Content Policy, if we are required to by law, or if we reasonably suspect fraud or a risk to other users. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app. Deleting your account cancels your plan for the future, ends your channel subscriptions, forfeits any unspent coins (they are not refunded), and erases your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. Some records — payment and tax records in particular — must be retained by law.
13. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, and we make no warranty about content posted by creators. Creators are independent — they are not our employees or agents, and we do not endorse their content, claims, or offers.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MeraChannel will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profit, goodwill, or data. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Platform is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify MeraChannel against claims, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from your content, your use of the Platform, or your breach of these Terms or of anyone’s rights.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is material we will give notice in the app or by other reasonable means before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Platform after a change means you accept the updated Terms. The “Last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Please write to us first — most issues are resolved without any of this.
18. Grievance Officer
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, complaints about content or about your use of the Platform can be sent to our Grievance Officer:
